Cooking is an art. A form sometimes lost in the delicious, yet endless and repetitive images of the online world of food. Photography has become too impatient to represent art in the kitchen.
That’s why it was refreshing to discover Heather Diane Hardison’s blog – Illustrated Bites
Heather’s site is a collection of wonderful illustrations created out of her “insatiable hunger” for food and art. Work that she recently featured at her own art exhibition in San Francisco.
For the visual learners among us, Heather shares many illustrated recipes from Easy Ratatouille to Chocolate Brioche to Sautéed Scallops with Roast Asparagus. She also makes cutting a cinch with her two part illustrated series on Knife Skills.
To see these and more illustrated recipes and tips – and even a free desktop wallpaper illustration on Edible Mushrooms - head over to Illustrated Bites to find Heather drawing art back into the kitchen.
