It is not so commonly used in Malaysia. I looked it up and found that daun suji is called the 'pandan serani' and mostly used as ornamental plant in Malaysia.Season with Spicehttp://www.seasonwithspice.com/[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-488443880886773768.post-23737124189933312952012-07-22T12:41:07.622-07:002012-07-22T12:41:07.622-07:00I love anything with pandan! Either for cooking or baking :) I don't know if this is common in Malaysian cuisine but in Indonesia we have another leaf that is used together with pandan. It's called daun suji. Daun suji is giving the bright green colour while pandan will complete the fragrant since daun suji don't have a distinct aroma. And on the other hand, pandan colour isn't stable enough unless we use lots and lots of pandan.indonesiaeats.comhttp://twitter.com/IndonesiaEats[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-488443880886773768.post-68594551049392389062012-06-18T19:53:37.823-07:002012-06-18T19:53:37.823-07:00Thanks NamiThanks NamiSeason with Spicehttp://www.seasonwithspice.com/[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-488443880886773768.post-90605771720504828652012-06-18T19:53:00.614-07:002012-06-18T19:53:00.614-07:00Hi Victoria, if you can get hold of the seeds, I&#...Hi Victoria, if you can get hold of the seeds, I'm sure the plant would thrive at your home in Mexico.Season with Spicehttp://www.seasonwithspice.com/[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-488443880886773768.post-23516312208779010972012-06-18T19:50:29.822-07:002012-06-18T19:50:29.822-07:00Hi Tamara, hopefully you can get a hold of pandan ...Hi Tamara, hopefully you can get a hold of pandan sometime.
