That's a lot of ap...Look at that apple tree!!! That's a lot of apples! Where are the leaves. :) I would definitely be making this right now if I had an apple tree out my back door. Hopefully, they'll still have some at the market today. I bet they smelled awesome while they were backing. How could one wait for them to finish?! I'd be curious to know if the cinnamon in the spice mix prevents the apples from turning during this process. I discovered years ago, that, because cinnamon is an anti-oxidant, that when you sprinkle it on apples, the apple don't oxidize. I wonder if with the heat added, if it would still work. That would eliminate the soaking step. (I'm always looking for shortcuts. :) ) Definitely will have to try it. What a great snack!
