Yes, the summer is very short. As soon as August is over, any day in September the weather suddenly turned cold. Even though a day before was still hot and warm. And then the next day, it's winter and it's cold for 9 months before you feel the warmth. I had to live in South Dakota for a couple of years, one of the reasons why I don't even like air-con now.
